I've seen what i believe to be a good deal on Overclockers site. I'll admit it I know little about building computers, (I know components but not whats good about a lot of them (except GPUs). Does this sound like a good deal? (I don't feel able and knowledgable enough to build a comp yet). Anyways how does this sound (and do you reckon it'll play Far Cry 2 +S.T.A.L.K.E.R (both games), bearing in mind i have seen a mate play Far Cry 2 on a 4850 at 43 fps avg at 1280x1024)?

That is still quite a decent PC, it isn't cutting edge but provided the price is reasonable then it should be quite capable for what you want. You may not be able to use maximum detail settings on both games but I don't know enough about either to fully comment.

If you wanted to try building your own PC then it is very simple nowadays (if you can build a Lego model you can build a PC) but if you don't feel confident enough then that system would be fine.

cheers :) FC2 recommends something like 256mb vram at least and 2gb ram or something , and stalker 128mb minimum vram and 1 gb ram, it's just that even thought the system has more than enough i was just concerned, would be going with a 19" lcd monitor.
