Does anyone know of any books or online content which covers upto date information on overclocking for the complete beginner?

I would like to know more about the relationship between all the components & how they work together.

Thanks.

There are some nice guides here and most other overclocking forums. You really just need to read around. Google is your friend :D

I really want to get the best out of my system & really would like a step by step guide with explanations on what & why I am adjusting certain parameters because I am really reluctant to even start tampering with any BIOS settings before I fully understand why i'm doing it.

For example, I've been asking questions on forums on how to get the best out of my RAM with people saying you need to set your voltage & timing's manually to a specified value without explaining why i'm adjusting those specific settings.

Ideally what I am looking for is either a good source of reading material on BIOS settings & overclocking or I would be very grateful if somebody with maybe a similar spec system to mine (details below) & experience would talk me through the steps on developing an overclocked & stable system.

My system spec is as follows: -

Mobo - Asus P5N32E-SLi
CPU - Intel Quad Core QX6700 @ 2.66GHz
GFX - GTX8800
2 x 1GB PC6400 Corsair Dominator RAM
2 x 320GB Seagate hard drives (Raid 0)

Any advice from experienced overclockers would be appreciated.

Thanks.
