A guide to overclocking an i7 930?

I have a cooler onn it's way, and when it is installed I would like go give overclocking a go. This will be the first time I have ever attempted overclocking - so I am looking for a idiots guide.

I am sure there used to be a guide stickied in this forum?

If someone could link me to a guide it would be much appreciated.

Seems decent and in depth enough.

One thing I would do is get an idea of your temps at stock first though...

Thanks mate, I will give that a browse.

I will certainly measure the temps at stock first - i want to see what kind of improvement the new heatsink makes.
