I really wish i hadn't entered this thread :(
The 1600E is one of my all time favourite cars and i owned and loved a 1600GT more than any other car i have owned. Crossflow lovelyness and tail sliding fun it taught me how to get the back out and hold it. Fantastic car to work on, i used to sit on the inner wing with one foot on the bulk head and another on the cross member and spanner it. Thrashed the bejesus out of it so i was spannering it a lot, man i loved that car.
Lets hope the damage ain't that bad once the covers are off.

insured i'd hope?

Yes but what good is insurance in a situation like this.

You can insure the classics for money, but you can never truely replace them.
