I've been out of the hardware game for a while (My PC still runs a Q6600!) but I am looking to build a HTPC having decided not to get a Mac Mini.

I've read the other 2-page thread and that alerted me to the existence of the AMD Fusion boards.

I took a look at the E45M1-M PRO which looks really good. So if that seems a good choice it seems all I'll need for this HTPC is RAM and a case. (I have a Corsair 620W PSU spare).

So the main aim of this post is just to check whether I am on the right track with the above and also to recommend me a case, which I'd like to be small as possible but also sleek (and reasonably priced; say below £60).

[Edit: Have also been looking at the ASUS E35M1-I DELUXE ITX with a Lian-Li Q07 case - what are peoples' opinions on this?]

I've been doing lots of reading about this today and so far I think I'm looking at the following:

Lian-Li Q07
ASUS E35M1-I DELUXE ITX (can't seem to find any benefits of the E45M - are there many?)
1 x 2.5" HDD for OS
1 x 3.5" HDD for storage
2 x 2Gb of some RAM
Corsair 520W (I have spare)
5.25" DVD Drive (I have spare)

Will I be ok with removing the fans and still be ok temp wise? (I don't plan to OC at all).
