a laptop for ubuntu?

Hi chaps,

can anyone recommend a laptop which will be fast with a GPU that is less than 300 notes for use with Ubuntu? other than fast and cheap it doesn't need any other bells and whistles as it will sit in a box doing openalpr work 24/7.

For under £300 you are looking at AMD APU based laptops, if you are lucky you maybe able to get a second hand laptop with an Nvidia GPU but you would have to do a lot of searching.
