A Level Results Day - Eeek

I got 4 As, one B :D

The B is 3 marks off an A, and everyone in my sixth form seems to have got funny marks in a particular module, so its being remarked, so hopefully that's
5As overall!
And in proper subjects for me too! :D Not media studies :P

Hope everyone else awaiting results is pleased too :)

I have to admit I'm actually really jealous of everyone waiting for their A level results today! I never took them, just went straight to work after school and I must say I miss that nervousness and the excitement of waiting for exam results. I've been thinking about taking some kind of adult learning course, but I just don't think it would feel the same!

English Lit - A
Biology - A
Chemistry - B
Maths - C

Those are ASes... I feel like I've really hindered my chances of getting into the Unis I want, but it's far from over yet.

Unless you are considering Oxford & Cambridge, then I doubt it. I know somebody that applied to Oxford without straight As at AS level and was offered a place... which she turned down for Warwick :p

I was/am considering Oxford for English Lit. :p But yeah, not the end of the world, just a bit disappointed at my maths.

Also I'm now starting to regret chosing my offers based on where she wanted to go, so we could be together. (She's in France so can't read this.)

Well I got BBC, which is more than I needed :)

She got AAB which is more than she needed, and beat me.... though I would like to point out that IMHO Maths & Physics are harder than Art & Psychology :p.

I want to do Film at Uni if possible, what is the likelihood that I will get any offers with these grades at AS:

Film: B
Media: D
English Literature: E

Not looking good to be honest. I think I will have to pick up another AS to replace English next year.

I'm doing Further Maths so that's two full A-Levels in two years. I got my grade for just Maths and it came out as an overall B. Not too happy with it really, was about 30 marks off. Considering I pretty much failed two modules (C3, C4) which were absolutely solid I guess I didn't do too bad, definately going to try get an A though.

I also got a C in my Economics exam which is the second module of the AS but I got an E in the first so i'm going to have to re-do that too :o

Just collected my results, 4As!

By some stroke of luck I managed straight As in all modules except the horror that is FP2, with a crushing C. I knew I wasn't going to do especially well on that though as it was just a pure evil module.

I retook my C4 this time round, specifically needed an A in it for my offer and scraped a B last time round. Somehow managed to absolutely ace it, 100/100!

Congrats guys.

When I did my highers (read: A Levels) a few years back I got a B in computing (got 97% in my mock exams previously) and the teacher didn't bother appealing for me. =/

I've just started Further Pures now :o The teachers have said FP2 is the hardest like, not looking forward to it :(

I think once i've started on the harder stuff in Further though i'll think C3/C4 are relatively easy so I reckon i'll easily bump it upto an A.

Congratulations though, well done mate :)

!

I know! I only got 63 on FP2, but because of my 90+ marks in most the other modules I still got my A in Further maths! PHEW!

That FP2 exam was harder than I expected, what board were you taking?
