A Level Results Day - Eeek

Haha really? I can't think of a worse way to make yourself seem really arrogent than to start conversation with exam results or UCAS points boasts...

Yep, there were two of them, and they turned out to be utter, utter goobers.

It doesn't matter, I was too busy working to pay the rent and partying to go to any lectures or do any coursework and got a not entirely unexpected 3rd. Nobody has ever (in 15 years) asked what grade I got, going to Uni and getting some life experience outside of it is all that counts.

Although it isn't true for all of them, for a fair few graduate scheme jobs, you need at least a 2.1 sadly. But providing you have that, it's all about your experiences and abilities. Otherwise, you are absolutely right, it doesn't matter :)

Yeah but most graduates don't go for the graduate scheme jobs anyway (and they are pretty much nonexistent these days anyway)

Sigh mines been so ****ed up.

Rejected from everywhere I applied to (for Law :p), some frantic phoning around managed to get me into a decent Computer Science course. Student finance are now saying they never recieved my birth certificate and who the **** knows whats going to happen to my accomodation.

^ You want to do computer science? Or is that a last minute frantic decision because you can actually do it? They *should* be able to sort out accomodation.. maybe.

I'm hoping to do comp science at Southampton next year :)

Got EE in AS Double Business and a Pass in a BTEC IT course. really bad results really, just hoping i can carry on the business next year and do better in A2.

Anyone know if you can resit modules whilst not going to college? I've just finished A2 and want to take a break from studying but if i can just turn up for the exams.. I'd like to improve my grade... :)

Don't see why that would be a problem if you pay for the exam.

Did you just get your results? I thought you were at University?

I am. Just not an amazing University. It didn't require many UCAS points...160 i think. Basically i scrapped it due to my lack of interest/direction in college. So i am very tempted to take up an A-Level or turn some of my AS levels into A2s.

I had this very thought during the first year of my degree but decided against it. Instead I focused all of my time and energy on getting the highest degree grade I could possibly achieve. The A-Levels are in the past for us now and we should use it as a reminder and warning that we constantly need to improve and work to our maximum potential.

But you surely know what assumption is?!!

But yeah, straight law for me... I heard it's what the cool kids do :cool:.

Well I didn't know if it was for you or not :p

Learning law is extremely dry, but the application of it is fantastic - I'm sure you will enjoy it. Eventually ;)

i did ok, A for media, B for photography and U for politics (expected:(), might take up art for a year or do an art foundation course, hopefully it should be enough to get me into uni for CG and animation:o
