A Level results on Thursday

Doing mine next year. Getting my GCSE results in a few days I'm pretty confident most the exams were a cake walk except for English I hate that subject so much. Cant wait till September though when i get to do the subjects I want.

I remember the night before I got mine last year. My heart was beating so loud my bro could hear it :D

Best of luck!

I am collecting my resit result tomorrow. Just need to move up two points to get a C in maths. Might apply to a different uni though clearing as well. Who knows.

Good luck all. I know my sister is hating the wait!

One of her classes had two teachers (different parts of the course) and the teachers never turned up, didn't mark work, didn't help them etc etc. So they had to teach themselves the subject. So they were putting so much work into that one subject, that every other subject wasn't been focused on as much.
Though.. they had some person from the exam board go into the school a couple of weeks before the exam and she went over the stuff what turned out to be in the exam lol... .. umm

Good luck to everyone for their results. I know it can be quite tense especially when you have to overturn a deficit at AS into a good grade in A2!

I can advice all the people in the forum waiting for their results to have a good long gaming session to calm the nerves. No reason to get all worried now.

Also if the weather is good, have a kick around. The best way to make this day half pleasant is to divert your mind and then get a good nights sleep at least.

Could have been me getting them but I quit last year and still glad I did. Would be dreading getting them though as I would have failed for sure!

Oh damn I'm having a bit of a mind blank moment here - for those of you who've had AS results before, is it normal to go into school/college to collect them or is that just the full A-level results? >>

Yup.

Not sure what I have to do though, think the school post them to me as I am not actually attending it, just resat my exam there...

Oceana UV results party, I'll either be ripping that dance floor up like a mad one or slipping on my own tears at the realisation I have no back up plan!

Good luck all! Although I think it's a bit late for luck...
I'm giving blood afterwards aswell...are you able to get absolutley off your face on the same day?

"New College is currently piloting a new service which will allow current UCAS applicants to view their AS & A2 results online from 6.00am on Thursday 19th August. "

Yes! I have work at 9 so hopefully this will save me from getting up at an ungodly hour for what can only be a bad walk!

Preparations for the rest of week have been made - Asda are doing 3 for £20 deals on becks bottles, stella bottles, fosters and a couple of others. My friend and I have 45 bottles/cans for £20, and a bottle of Captain Morgan for £10. A good stash for the pre-outing drinks of the coming days!

Good luck to you all

Yeah you go in.

Although my college gave the option of viewing the results online aswell so you didn't have to go in if you didn't want to.

Just a heads up to you all, it's worth checking the UCAS website as soon as you wake up (7am onwards I think), it should be updated with either accepted/declined after that time. Just means you can find out a little earlier, before having to head off to college.

Assuming the system's not been changed since last year that is.

Just wanted to pop in to say Good luck to everyone tomorrow, especially those receiving A2 results and looking to go University.

I feel horrible and I'm not going to have a nice sleep. :)
