Right, so I bought a cheap c2d setup with an e2160, Asrock Conroe1333-DVI, an d 2gb pc6400 ocz.

First obstacle is this rubbish MB, wouldn't go over 240fsb because pci-e bus went too high. Anyway did the BSEL pinmod and now i have the higher MCH strap, so went right in for 333mhz, this results in a 115mhz pci-e but I think that is acceptable? Anyway, windows booted but crashed out when i logged in. Currently I have it at 315fsb, giving me 2.83ghz. Boots and runs windows fine, but ORTHOS will fail after a couple of minutes. Temps are not a problem surprisingly, however my vCore is maxing at 1.22v. Would I be right in thinking this is why it is failing?

RAM is running at 393mhz so less than stock, on 4-4-4-15 timings, this should be fine and dandy right? I don't think there is a problem here tbh but hey the last machine I built was an XP-M on SocketA so what do I know :p

Unfortunatly my BIOS has no vCore adjustment, only VCCM and VDDQ voltage. Can anyone tell me what these settings are for, as the manual is pretty vague (no detail at all).

Any other random pieces of advice for a c2d noob would be appreciated too.

Thanks in anticipation.
