A little help - £450 upgrade

Hi all right i have a Asus socket 775 intel motherboard running a intel celeron 2.6 chip(yes i no)

Right anyway i also have 1 gb of ddr2 and my motherboard is pci-e.

I want to change the cpu and the gpu to something that plays some games for now(looking to go AMD later with there new socket)

Can anyone point me in the direction of a cpu,gpu,and a hdd+200gb,that will run the latest games for a while.

DDR2 will work with AM2 (AMD's next socket i believe, though).
