What CPU do you have for this new motherboard? or is it a new build where you dont have anything yet?

I dont have anything yet, need cpu, psu, heat sink fan the lot really, but really like the look of that gfx card

Well a £110 for a motherboard instantly means P67 sandybridge such as,

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-312-IN seemed quite a decently priced CPU, might be totally wrong though

Nah, its an old dying socket, been replaced by the socket 1155 stuff.

As for that graphics card, its nice, but a tiny bit more can get this - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-103-MS&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1711

which should be a bit faster and has more Vram memeory.

Best to pick everything all at once rather than bits and bobs individually. I'm sure the man there will get you sorted out for your system spec. Did you have an overall budget in mind, give him something to work with?

Was hoping to buy in stages, but to be honest want to spend around £500, thats the far end though (this amount not including things like hard drive, dvd rom and case).
Would like soemthing abit under that though if possible

look at the middle three power consumption charts showing both the 5850 and GTX460, the three charts are at IDLE/gaming and full on stress testing using furmark, 530w is plenty, also consider that the test system used is an more power hungry socket 1366 i7 system, and sandybridge cpu's use less watts also.

damn, meant to edit out the case bit quicker lol, although one will be needed best to get all the components first!
Think I will def go for the spec you put up mate, looking good and thanks for the links also, very helpful :)

Just bought that gfx card and motherboard..makes a good start heh
Just wondering, is there an ground so to speak in going with the ripjaw memory sticks for that motherboard?.
Do they make any particular difference?

Not really, just get the cheapest 4GB DDR3 kit listed, memory timings make little difference to sandybridge cpu's so more expensive ram with lower timings is a waste.

you should have bought everything bundled. but nvm. The 2500K sandy system is by far the best value for money in your price range. £40 gives you a good case, the BeQuiet PSU is best value for money for single card systems, and you have a whole lot of choices of graphics card to complete the rest.

Sorry for all the questions, was also wondering, does it matter too much which cooler I go for?
Do I somehow have to cross reference it to the motherboard?, or just buy any one ?
