A little help needed please :)

Yeah I understand I should have bought everything bundled together at once but admittedly i'm not too good with saving money, plus the curse of the money hole which is a girlfriend and expensive car I cant afford it on one pay packet :p

Edit: I know I sound total noob with some of my questions, but I honestly do have some idea on how to build them correctly lol, I work building and taking apart computers, but its just bog standard things really...just wanting to try and build my first gaming machine :D

Sorry for all the questions, was also wondering, does it matter too much which cooler I go for?
Do I somehow have to cross reference it to the motherboard?, or just buy any one ?

Depends how far you want to go on the overclocking route, but a Hyper 212 Plus or Corsair A50 will get you to 4.5GHz easy without breaking the bank.

BTW, overclocking on SB should be a doodle, you just need to make sure you are testing stability thoroughly and not putting too much heat in the CPU. And not doing anything crazy with some of the voltages. There are plenty of guides around to get you to a stable overclock. Also, there is no real need to go hog-wild as well, a 2500K is plenty fast already.

Some motherboards can overclock to 4.2GHz at the push of a button (I think the C45 has OC Genie). That figure is a nice place to be with a cheap cooler, They'll let you go higher with a bit of tweaking.

Hmmm, overclocking is the part i'm unsure of.
Never tried it at all, not even too sure where to start. I mean for my work I play about in BIOS all the time, but never touched the overclocking side of things
