Can anyone tell me why CPUZ shows Vcore at 1.2V when the CPU's are not stressed and then jumps to 1.4 volts when I run Orthos?

I have turned off all the speed step etc in the BIOS.

Cheers

What mobo are you using?
Do you have Vcore set to manual or auto in your Bios?
My P5n-e goes the other way so under load the vcore shown in CPU-Z is lower (the dreaded vcore droop on the P5n-e).

ASUS P5N-E and the vcore is set to manual at 1.4...

I thought that the voltage was supposed to go down under stress (the dreaded Vdroop) not up!!

Just had a look through the user manual and on page2-26 it refers to a feature called Enhanced C1.
"In C1E mode, the cpu power consumption is lower when idle, this item only appears when you install a processor with Enhanced C1E feature".
Not sure if I have this set and I cannot check at the moment due to being in the middle of downloading the CNC3 demo. Sounds like what your describing though.
