Hi guys

got a tp link archer vr600 up and running as much better than the sky because i wanted the qos

The reason i wanted the qos is that my two lads have an xbox each and so do i but when one of them starts downloading a game or update it basically kills everyone elses internet. netflix and other streaming stuff will just buffer all the time until the download is paused or finished .

i just wondered if i have to put every single device connected into the qos (other stuff does not cause this problem) or can i just put the 3 xboxs in there .

i have it as

high - 65 per cent
medium- 25 per cent
low - 10 per cent

i was just going to put xboxs in high but not sure if not allocating everything will make it not work

thanks very much

sounds like you just need to put the xboxes in a given priority and they will be limited to that % of your internet bandwidth total. 3 xboxes over 10% of your bandwidth will be very stingy though, might want to give them 50% of your total, leaving half bandwidth for every other device.

Tried this but foe some reason it will not work

I am using device qos and put both lads in qos at 65 per cent

I left mine out of the qos

Now they are connected via a home plug

It worked but also limited me ?
