A little Help!!

Hi All,

Couple of questions, I was transferring all my stuff over to my new NZXT Phantom case (In Black & Orange thanks to OcUK ) over the weekend, when I powered it on there was a beautiful light display arching from my PSU and a nice bang .

Q1. Will the RAM be knackered? I know that’s usually the first thing to be effected.

Q2. Can anyone recommend a good 700 - 800w PSU? I was looking at this one - http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-055-AK

looks ok , also have a look at the Antec High Current Gamer 750W.

as for the memory depends how lucky you are/how good your psu was.

Any of the good brand PSU's will do just fine.

Ouch, if your not running SLI you might want to look at the PSU as others have suggested.

It is possible components could be damaged. Depends how good the protection circuitry is on your psu.

I am looking at upgrading my GPU's then Cross Firing them so i thought i would need a good bit of wattage for that, also going to add another 200mm Fan to the top of the NZXT and a bigger CPU cooler so i can start OC'ing. Will that be amble or do you think i will require more?

My old PSU was a ThermalTake ToughPower so hopefully it should have been good and not fried my stuff.

Been looking at getting either the Twin Forza or the Sapphire 7850's
