Make sure you don't overtighten jubilee clips, i was just driving under full boost a minute ago to be greeted with a massive WHOOSH noise and no power...

a jubilee clip had broken and the pipe that feeds the dump valve had blown off.

These pants were clean on today too! :(

Boy know all about that after playing with Kitchsters GTO.... We had a nightmare trying to fit a nice shiney pipe to it. In the end we had to put the plastic one back on... :p

Been there and done that (twice)

Was testing out my new dump valve on my R5 turbo and the hose blew off and I also did the same on my mates Fiesta turbo. Both times I thought it was the engine letting go as there was a sudden noise then zero power.

Had it happen to me. Crapped myself but thought i aint gonna walk home so carried on driving lol! Eventually pulled over and realised what it was :p

I got bored of the boost hoses constantly popping off my S13, I decided Mikalors were the best expensive shiney things I could buy :D

S12 used to blow off the main boost pipe almost every time we used it, Silvia Engineering recommended using "several bloody hefty jubilee clips" to stop it happening.

It worked too!

Had this on my Coupe with the air filter, fortunately it was hanging on by the MAF sensor....

<- Another victim. Happened 8 hours after having the CGTT. Was giving it some beans showing off to a mates missus and POP! I too thought I'd blown the engine, luckily it was just a jubilee clip letting go. :D

I'd tried that, and 3 of them managed to let go while I was trying to drift Luffield. after that, mikalors all the way, and a bead of weld around all the hard pipe ends :)
