A little moan about laptops

i like the option of mobility of the laptop. Browse and game wherever, whenever. :)

not chained to a hulking desk hunched over a 20" monitor on a game for hours on end.
 
Mine is nearly twice as useless as the OP's. When I pull the power out it dims the screen down to save power. Then I can't see it unless I'm somewhere darkish. Completely pointless for on trains or on the move so it's a good job I don't take it anywhere.

You can but battery life on laptops only rock for the first 2 months, after that, charger city BAAABY!
 
what about a solar powered laptop umbrella? which sits along the top of the laptop, shielding the screen from the sun, and charges the battery at the same time? f'ing genius!

Get a decent laptop with a Core 2 CPU :p

My Sony Vaio lasts about 3 hours on battery. The X-Black LCD can be a bit of a pain in the sunlight but if you tilt it down/up a little more it is easy to resolve.
 
I've never understood why laptops can't usilise bright sunlight to light the screen, as apose to trying to out power it with a cathode.

I remember those games you used to look through that used sunlight to light the LCD.

Why can't they use a white background to a screen.
