Allso decided against Ssd seem's the general forum opinion is not worth it
and some one said that if you have 1 Ssd and one Sata it would run at the sata speed !?

Thanks to the guys who helped erlier have now decided to penny pinch as much as i can now :o

Any way if you feel you can improve on whats there without going bonkers
post it please...

Cheers !

The Phenom II runs RAM in dual channel so I would look at getting a different RAM set.
Also I would not go with anything over 1600MHZ as DDR3 at 1333MHZ using low latencies is the ideal memory settings for a Phenom II X4 at stock.

If you are not overclocking stay with the stock heatsink and if you are overclocking I would go for a better cooler if possible.

I would go for an SSD over a VelociRaptor TBH!

A decent 600W PSU should be fine for a single card setup.

However for a pair of HD5870 cards I am not so sure. IIRC the HD5870 has similar load power consumption to an HD4890 or thereabouts.

So something like this:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
One more question will i need to buy any cables etc ?
Only asking as im new at this im diving in headfirst here ordering soon...:)

that will be fine, and all the cables you need should come with the components

eg, mobo has sata cables, psu has kettle lead etc

only cable you might need is an 8 pin mobo power extension for if you want to route behind the mobo for tidyness if the case is large or theres no direct route (dont know this case so best to check from someone who does)

You will have all the cables you need with your motherboard. And all the screws will come with the case.
