I've just bought and installed this bundle and aparrantly the CPU is idling at 52 and hitting low 60's under load. Is the motherboard wrong or is it something else? As a comparison, my socket 939 X2 4200 runs at 32-35 idle and around 42-45 load.
I've touched the heatsink under load and it's not especially hot. The only thing I could think of is that the heatsink isn't quite touching the CPU but I can't check that without removing the heatsink and therefore breaking the paste stuff. If I remove the motherboard, I still can't see between the CPU and heatsink because of all the other stuff that's in the way.
Any ideas?
Running a torture test from Prime95 on it now.
