I think this is ridiculous, i've got a mate who's been in swindon for quite a while on a temporary visa, working, paying his taxes, renting a little apartment. He'd do anything for anyone. He came over with his sister and her boyfreind originally who also both work.

Now the government wants to deport him back to trinidad.

Makes me sick to my gut, a nice hardworking guy gets deported. Yet a load of criminal sponging scum every year are given a visa and allowed to live over here.
England, rip you off, rape you with tax, destroy everything good with laws and pc ******** and then deport your mates. Nice to know isn't it

Empathy aside, he will either have voided the terms of his stay or his duration of stay has been exceeded.

He agreed to it, so why should he be allowed to stay just because he's a generally good, hard-working person (like the majority of the population)?

So?

He had a Visa to stay for an alotted time. I'm assuming the alotted time is up.

Back he goes. Sorry mate, but that's how these things work.

Let him marry your Sister & he'll stay forever & give you some Cousins :D

Isnt it funny how all the immigrants that people know are honest hard working etc, while all the 'others' are scrounging criminals.....

I agree this is the harshness of the real world I'm afraid.

It's for our country's own good.

I've been personally affected by it, but am still of the above opinion.

They don't just throw people out. Either his visa was up (which he would know about), or he went about killing and raping people and thus he is being booted out. Either way I don't think it would be a surprise for him, he can go home and reapply (unless he really did kill people), there is no reason he won't get back in.

yes it is only the honest ones that tend to get deported cos all the others just don't turn up and go into hiding.

Lets hope he keeps up his honesty.

Good to know that illegal immigrants are getting deported. If he's such a good mate then perhaps you could go and visit him in Trinidad.
