Hey all

We recently moved and our main bedroom could benefit from a TV upgrade now we have more space

Think our current one is just a basic 24" Samsung.

Is 32" still common place or should I be looking at the next size up from that, it doesn't seem to be a popular size like it was back in the day.

Thinking of a budget around £250-300 ISH.

We don't watch loads on TV up there but did get fair use out of the old one

Thanks for any recommendations

Will add, we use an Apple TV box as the smart side of the current Samsung was soo sluggish so will probably carry that forward

I needed something for similar reasons and as it was a TV for basically noise in the room, I did zero research and picked up a Hisense 43E78QTUK as it cheap, less than £300 on offer, I'm actually blown away by its performance, sure it's no match for my LG OLEDs but you wouldn't expect it to be, but it is light, fast, good picture even on low quality freeview content, has freely so you don't need an aerial if you don't have one in the new room it will stream live TV, the apps are all fast and responsive, the sound is good quality, you'll likely not need your Apple TV.

There is colour shift off angle at large angles though but I was impressed none the less. There is a pro version for not a lot more, perhaps that will improve that.

RS have a Philips 32PHS6050 for 170 notes if you sign up for their VIP mailing list, just a 2 year warranty though. I think that's not bad.

Just chipping in to say I picked up a model below that one, a Hisense 40E5QTUK for my daughter's bedroom, cost £200

Like you say it's no LG OLED but for basic HD picture quality, sound, and most importantly app responsiveness (including freely) it's exceeded my expectations. So, per the OP's ask for something midrange I'd assume the one you've got and if any models sit above it, would be even better
