A monitor size question

So you either got a Dell u2410 or u2412m and want to move to a bigger screen with a lower resolution?
You'll lose workspace, you'll have far worse viewing angles, you'll lose the awesome height adjustable stand..

I can't see how this is anything but a downgrade unless the only thing you do is watch 16:9 movies/series while sitting in the same location every time all the time.

Nope, its the 2405FPW.

This is what I am trying to find out, thanks.

So a 27" with lower res will have a smaller workspace, compared to a 24" with higher res.
Thanks for answering

that's correct, everything will look bigger, but due to lower res you will lose about and inch of useable space. Personally, I don't like 27" monitors with 1920, everything looks too big and pix-elated, so requires a load of AA for it to look ok in game. Much prefer just having a higher res as it makes using windows and apps so much nicer. my 30" can easily accommodate 2 web pages (3 if they are thin ones) so it feels like two monitors all on its own.
