i want to set up eyefinity but have read i need a monitor with a displayport connector or an active converter like the saphire one....

was just wondering on the prices of displayport monitors or if i am cheaper just buying an active converter and getting over and done with it?..... just grudge buying another piece of equipment when a monitor should be able to do it neways:rolleyes:

Well the cheapest available are the p2210's and p2310's.
The first being 1680x1050 and the latter being 1920x1080.
Which are both approx £190-200.

Theres actually a very good reason it doesn't support 3 monitors out of the box.

Theres a list somewere, ill see if i can find it.

yes eyefinity facility needs each display to have its own clock.
with displayport, each monitor doesn't need its own clock. it is well worth investing in as it will be the display link of the future. so one displayport link can power multiple monitors so in theory you would only need the one connector
cool!
