A move from Windows to Macintosh

I am having a similar problem.. I think...

2 = @
3 = £
4 = $

Obviously I want 2 = ", which is the normal UK layout - I have set everything to British/English and it still wont work

I even bought a Mac keyboard to make sure it was not my Saitek.

Well, i'm posting this from my new MBP.

Over the moon

Takes a bit getting used to the osx feel, but I can see why it's popular. Can't find the delete key but I know I should RTFM.

Expect a photo of my setup in the Gallery thread in the coming week. Gotta unpack all my stuff first

Just right click in the taskbar and click Task Manager

Hold down the Control and Option keys, then hold down the fn key, and press the Delete key

Apparently that works...try it

Ctrl + Shift + Esc is the same, does that work?

Thanks Beatmaster, I always seem to be haveing problems with XP and cltr-alt-del is a Godsend compared to hard reboot. If it weren't for games, I would have just ditch XP totally.

Thanks guys, I worked out the delete key thing in the end.
Been without the Internet for a few days, so just catching up. Anyone know about if the extensions for firefox work in camino (gmail notifier)?

The hardest thing is getting my HP laserjet 1320 to work wirelessy, pain in the bum.

I think I will buy 2x1GB ram modules. Whats a good price for some Kingston sticks? Will this invalidate my applecare?

Well, you'd be looking around £70 a stick for a 1Gb Corsair stick and for a 1Gb stick of Kingston about £90.

It won't invalidate your Applecare but you'll need to hang on to the sticks you take out incase it needs to go back to Applecare for any problems.
