I am asking this on behalf of a friend, so I hope the following question makes sense to anybody who knows about these things...

How do you merge only the first 100 pages of two 500 page Microsoft word documents.

If that is successful I would want to stipulate which number pages out of a 500 page document are to be merged. The reason is that someone is updating a document 100 pages approx. at a time and is sending the document each time with the same changes made previously plus changes to the next 100 pages, so wouldn’t want to merge any more than the pages which have changed since receiving the document last time. The previous changes may have been approved and you don’t want to copy over the changes made again from the previous 100 pages.

Thankyou.

I'm maybe missing something here but is the sent updated document not going to be the correct one to use and therefore you don't need to merge anything.

If you are working on the "old" version you can only be changing bits after the previously updated, and probably next 100 pages, otherwise you'd lose stuff after the next update comes through?

I'm not sure I've managed to explain that very well, sorry.
