a need help

i need help connecting my psu as there are allsorts of cables and im lost now trying to get the right place for them as im doing somthing wrong as it will not boot up so iv done it wrong is there any photos step by step that could help me out as with it being a new set up i dont want to be guessing cables
mobo -gigabyte ga-z68ap-d3----psu is a ocz zs series 650 watt ty all
 
+1 That is a good guide and step 8 shows clearly where to make all the power connections.

Basically you need to connect the PSU to the:

- motherboard 20/24 pin power connection
- motherboard 8 pin power connection
- graphics card - 6 or 8 pin power connections (connect up whatever your graphics card has)
- hard drive SATA power connection (or a molex connection if your HDD is an older IDE model)
- DVD drive SATA power connection (or a molex connection if your DVD drive is an older IDE model)

If you can tell us your full spec we should be able to point out exactly what you need to connect to the PSU.
 
well got it all done eventually cheers guys for the info but i keep getting probs when installing win7 64 on to the new hdd a seagate 500 gig as its asking for a driver at the set up process as it cant see the drive but the bios sees the hdd and i set it up so the dvd loads first to install os but zippo so i tried a old sata disk 120 gigs i obtained this seagate hdd from a old bt box lol and it loaded up all fine os but only 120 gigs but theres a 500 gig there so id prefer the bigger capacity hdd sorry guys but i dont wanna mess things up with my new build so im being ultra carefull lol so psu working now but the hdd that came with the set up win7 cant see it as i said it asks for driver at win set up cheers all. sorry the 500 gig is the same make as the 120 gig seagate hdd

They ask for raid driver install usually, just ignore it. If not that then can u tell us exactly what it says.
 
well i went into check again so this is how it play out dont even see the hdd at all
screen where it gives u the choice to upgrade or make fresh install i choose fresh install then click next the screen on set up that asks where to save windows doesint show the hdd in that window so i cant format disk this is what i see no drives were found load driver to provide mass storage driver for windows
as i said earlier the 120gig hdd same make shows up fine even my wd usb external hdd shows up but not the new 500 gig hdd made by seagate cheers guys as i dont want to install and activate windows on a 120 gig hdd as its not a big capicity hdd these days
 
this is what i have done
step 1-windows is loading files...
step2-starting windows with the logo
step3-install screen win7languge time keyboard input method
step4-install windows,windows 7 install now press install-setup is starting then click next screen
step5-the licence terms check box to accept licence
step6-which type of instalion do you want .
i select custom then click next
step7-where do you want to install windows
this screen is emty no drives were found.click load driver to provide mass storage driver for instalion this is as far as i get cheers all
