Iv been reluctant to spend near £500 on a new system, its hardly i7 budget i know
but a university student doesnt have the most cash in the world to spend on fancy toys
.
I already have an optical drive (Samsung TSH653B) and a seagate barracuda 7200.7 hard drive, so how does this look? Ideally wanted a 4770 for the lower temps and power consumption and only being marginally slower then the 4850's although thats not looking likely as im fed up of waiting for them to come in stock.
Only to be used for light gaming and your normal office work, internet, music and movies. I want it to be as future proof as possible though hence the am3 board, will probably look into overclocking aswell as i hear its pretty easy these days.
