Iv been reluctant to spend near £500 on a new system, its hardly i7 budget i know  but a university student doesnt have the most cash in the world to spend on fancy toys :( .
I already have an optical drive (Samsung TSH653B) and a seagate barracuda 7200.7 hard drive, so how does this look? Ideally wanted a 4770 for the lower temps and power consumption and only being marginally slower then the 4850's although thats not looking likely as im fed up of waiting for them to come in stock.
Only to be used for light gaming and your normal office work, internet, music and movies. I want it to be as future proof as possible though hence the am3 board, will probably look into overclocking aswell as i hear its pretty easy these days.

get the cheaper 4850 the ASUS one for 74.99 or pay a little more for the 4870:D

possibly up the PSU 450W seems a little low tbh mebbes at least 550W or the OCZ 600W or the corsair 650TX

This would save you £50 for basically the same thing if money is an issue:

Tbh i would have thought that 450w would be fine for that setup? I suppose the 600w ocz is on offer at the same price although the quality of corsair is outstanding.

I think i will go with that motherboard, read plenty good reviews on both and it is cheaper afterall.
Think i shall stick with the antec 300 though, i do want to keep the price as low as possible but on the other hand its only £20 and id be looking to keep this pc for a couple of years and will most likely regret skimping a mere £20 at the time.

Thanks for you input guys :)
