This is a bit of a stupid question, but when I install the heatsink's backplate behind the motherboard do I install it behind the original plastic backplate (that came with the motherboard) or take this away and just use the heatsink's backplate?![]()

sounds like you just stick it directly to the motherboard to stop the mobo from possibly shorting out.the sticky side of the backplate should be applied directly to the MoBo, that is the insulated part, and will prevent shorting out the MoBo. See the instructions at the top of the page, for the proper procedure
