A new case but which one?

Well I have decided that I need a new case.
The coolermaster Wave that I have still looks fantastic, but I find it too cramped to fiddle around with stuff inside, and I just cannot cable manage properly in it.

My decision, get something new that fits everything I have and will allow better cable management :)

I have a Zalman CNPS 9700, so that has to fit is one requirement. Currently have a 4870 with the Zalman GV1000 on it, but ill probably upgrade at some point, so room to fit full length cards is a must.

I love the idea I have seen on a few cases of hard drives mounted sideways, so cables can be hidden at the back of the case, looks like it makes fitting and removing them really easy.

Glowing and side windows not a major priority, could be nice, but not essential. Ease of getting round the insides is a priority, cooling set up, and silence come in quite high too.

So I was thinking of either the coolermaster CM690 II

or the Fractal design R2.

Any advice? suggestions?

The R2 is a good choice for cable management and your sideways hdd mounting. Also a good silent case which won't break the bank. Looks simple but nice and slick, speaking with one right next to me so might be a little bit bias :)

Good luck

Thanks, it is the one I have been eyeing up a bit. Does look like it wont make the girlfriend scream.. euurrghh ugly. Which is always a bonus :)

I checked the dimensions of the fractal case online and it's just slightly bigger than the other in every dimension so you'll have more room for a lower price with the fractal case. It's also a tiny bit more stylish and I hear it's pretty much silent so I'd recommend the Fractal in this situation.
