A new friend in my street (and a new camera too!)

Yes I'm back (finally!) after my parents replaced my camera that they seemed to break. I'm much more of a reader around here so go easy on me :>

Previously had an A85 which now comes with free memory card errors. With Canon wanting silly money to repair it I ended up with a newer camera. A Fuji E900.

Been very impressed with it so far and it has more options than I can shake an exceedingly large stick at! Rather new to the manual shooting modes so have got some awful pictures from it. For the pictures below it was set to AUTO (mainly as I had to grab the camera quickly and get snapping - my subject wasn't up for posing so much!)

Anyhoo - piccies:

This cute lil' fella was spotted prowling the street about a week ago and decided to come and investigate my front garden and attempt to get in the house.

Any feedback would be appreciated!


However I also have questions:

Can someone point me in the direction of a n00b friendly guide to using manual modes and the differences between the various settings (ISO's/f numbers!?)

Can anyone reccomend anywhere good for hosting as my ISP is stingy and gives me a whole 20MB!
