Hey guys.

I need a new graphics card to replace my faulty Sapphire 4850 512mb card. I want something of similar spec, but Nvidia, as I'm not too trusting with ATi and prefere Nvidia.

My budget is about £80, but willing to stretch a little if it means a better card.

I have a 600w power supply, Gigabyte Ga-Ma770-UD3 motherboard. Running one HDD, one optical drive, Creative Xfi sound card, and 4 fans.

Thanks in advance.

I would go for an Asus 4870 Glaciator+ 1GB, here's a link to it, it's a this weeks special offer.

I have this exact same card very happy with it and the heatsink is much better than the only £5 cheaper XFX 4870 1GB , the Asus 4870 Glaciator+ (dont get it confused with the older Glaciator) was only released in the early summer.

I wouldn't go for a Geforce GTS 250 it's just a a rebadged Geforce 9800GTX+, pay slightly more for a better 4870 is my advice.

Thanks for the links guys. The only reason I didn't want ATi is because my 4850 had problems, and many others have had the same problem.

I'll check into the cards, and as long as there are no problems with them I'll buy one.

Thanks again!

If you want to keep as close to £80 as possible i recommend this one below too,

If you want a Nvidia equivalent to 4870 don't forget you`ll have to pay £120+ so if you must have Nvidia then there really is no choice outside of a Geforce GTX 260 216 core streams.

The Asus GTX 260 Glaciator + one would be best as it has a much better heatsink on it.

A quick follow up.

Ordered my card, came today. Really pleased with it, quite big for my Anted 300 case but I made it fit.

One thing that got me is the two 6 pin power connectors. I managed to get one from my PSU, and I had to use their Molex to 6 pin adaptor for the other.

Just a quick question, there are two molex adaptors that go into one 6 pin. Do I need to connect two molexs into it, or one?
