A new influx of 'asylum seekers'/immigrants

So no new registrations? How can a forum be read only, surely someone has to post for it to continue existing?

I remember when GD was killed from Hard Forum decades ago. The resultant forum was epic but is really a mothballed website now.

I'm surprised it took so long. Hearst are a publisher, they aren't interested in monitoring an old forum that has nothing to do with the actual publication/content (Digital Spy). It's a heavily used forum, must cost loads to run and they get a lot of legal threats from things that posters have written on there. If they were a shop then the unrelated traffic might be worth it, but they are not a shop.

I didn't realise they had turned off the subforums with immediate effect - that seems a bit harsh! A lot of friends probably didn't get to say goodbye to each other.
