A New ISP for Me!

Hello everyone,

I thought I would start a new thread as this is a different question to my previous question.

Anyway, I am looking to move from Plusnet (Slownet) to another ISP. I tend to use about 70GB a month (I know, but we download a lot).

I currently pay Plusnet £17.99 for an "Unlimited" (traffic managed) service. I don't really want to pay anymore than about £30 a month.

I only have BT Wholesale on my exchange so there are no LLU options unfortunately.

I would really like to here your suggestions,

they cap speeds during peak times if you exceed their reasonable limits but no monthly limits.

There is no cable on my exchange. I have heard that Virgin's non-cable service is utter pants.

It is along with Sky Connect.

They get a decent rep, it was on my list of maybes along with XILO and ADSL24.

Might be alittle more than you want to spend but I cant recommend Goscomb enough! There internet is very fast low ping and they are directly connected to over 1/3rd of the internet! they use BT in the exchange and then it is pulled out and transit to themselves.

Ive got 2 lines using MLPPP (bonded ADSL) and get a very low ping and POE is much better than any service I have used before (virgin media cable/national plusnet talktalk etc) Stats here The ping was down as low as 20 for some time but for some reason it has increased...

Are you able to shift some usage to off-peak?

Can you get FTTC? BT Infinity is the best services I've ever had and I use 300-400GB per month, no problem.

You can get TitanADSL 100GB service for around £21 per month.
