A New Modem

I currently have the old thomson 330 speedtouch modem,which to be honest, has given me trouble free connection. But now i want to install windows 7 ( and i'm sure this modem will be incompatible)....could anyone suggest suitable modems

Buy a router, not only will it sync faster and have lower latency - you can add more machines either via cable or wireless (if you buy a wireless router of course).

Preferably go for something like a Netgear as they are reliable routers and easy to setup:

A quick google suggests there are Windows 7 drivers for that modem.

Yeah, i did do a search, but i'm not convinced that the drivers will work.

Router - extra security due to the NAT and firewall. Modems are so 90s.
