A new "moderate" OC computer

Pardon if this thread is in the wrong forum... Been a while since I've gotten into OC'ing (think Celeron 300A's @ 450MHz - college days) but my current computer is quite far from current, so being a Yank I went to NewEgg after reading all the "big" sites (here, Anand, HardOCP, etc) trying to get current on the latest hardware.

I realize that the new nVidia cards are out, and the DX10 stuff is coming early next year, but I really don't want to wait it out, and will probably just upgrade GPUs next year, if it looks like I can't live without DX10. I'm also tending towards "higher" end components in order to hold off upgrading as long as possible, well, I think... :)

I'm a moderate gamer, EQ, NWN2, BF2, HL2, CS:S, and any decent FPS that comes along. I'll be driving most stuff at 1600x1200 or better.

Was wondering if anyone saw any glaring omissions / errors, or incompatibilities in the following collection of hardware. I plan on doing a little tinkereing with OC'ing but nothing crazy.

Appreciate any help / insight... thanks and cheers!

A floppy drive. Needed for updating bios if you have an xfi card as asus update and xfi are incompatible.

Really nice setup, nothing wrong with it except I would get an E6600 since you are going to do ocing.

The Geforce 8800 is ALREADY out so if you want the best of the best from Nvidia then that's what you should go for. TBH I would just get a X1900XT and OC it until DX10 cards become cheaper and popular.
