A new thread must be created, the fastest and best overclocking mATX board for sensib

I'm not sure if the G33M has HDMI? Either way, neither board recommended has Bluetooth or Wifi, you'd need a separate dongle for that. The F-I90HD does have HDMI though. :)

Another vote for the F-I90HD, got mine to 350fsb stable. Not sure of any other matx board that can go that high?

Apparantly the G33M is going well over 400FSB stable. But it needs really good RAM to get this far as it doesn't have a 1:1 memory divider.

I don't regret buying mine. I only have it at 333FSB but it's more than quick enough. :)

That board is unstable, chances of getting one that is not DOA or does not die after a month is pretty rare, hence hti baord is not fit for it's purpose..

As I said in the other thread, just because you and a few others get DOA boards doesn't mean there's more bad boards than good.

Remember, someone unhappy will post about it, whereas more often than not, someone happy won't.

I'm not just saying this because I own the board and found it fantastic, i'm saying this because I think you didn't really give it a chance.

SO tell me where can I purchase a working version from?, with a guranteee that the one shipped will be working?, how about if I purchase 3 of them, would they all last more than 3 months?, if that was the case then I would have bought the board again, but even abit admit that this board has a high failure rate and that is normal!!!, put yourself in my shoes, if you took 1-2 hours to build a machine 3 times in with this board, would you buy the exact same one?, bear in mine that mine was DOA but it was 4 weeks until I first used the thing I found the item was faulty, and I was not given a direct replacement or full refund..

Anyway whatever the reason for the high failure rate, this is not a board that should be recommended..,

I got my fatality second hand off the members market here. Been working spot for a month with a pretty high overclock. Bios needs an update but other than that it's perfect for me. IIrc Abit have only had 5 board rma'd in the uk so far.

I've heard reports that the board can die, yes, but ONLY in situations with a very high overclock (i.e those who are pushing the board to it's very limits).

So are you telling me if you got a DOA 8800 you'd never buy an nVidia card again? Or DOA RAM?

Putting myself in your shoes, i'd just think "Oh well, DOAs happen, i'll just send it back for another one". It's not like someone at Abit is going around putting the wrong capacitors on them! :p

If you were not given a direct replacement or full refund, then that is a problem with the retailer, not with the board.

I appreciate that you have had trouble with this board, however tarnishing every F-I90HD with the same brush is nothing but short sighted i'm afraid.

Me and so many others, not just the average joe, Intel CPU & Intel Chipset board form now on...let's see how my Foxconn will turn up tommorow, considering there have been a few complaints of DOA ones...

Wrong! 2 of these boards died on me without any overclocking, the first after one week, the second after 3 weeks ..

MY one was DOA, would not start up properly, and updating the BIOS caused the board to reboot after post...

Ive just had a second one die on me as well, im returning it to the retailer for a refund as i'm not prepared to keep sending back boards at my expense. Mine was overclocked but not much to be honest. Im hoping one of the new G33 boards might last a little longer.

Oh and to keep things on track, i personally wouldnt advise the abit board but thats only due to my bad time with it. Other than that i'd see what these new G33 boards are like. I think there around the same price as the abit board.

I went for the Foxconn G965 Board, as the G33M Foxconn does not have RAID, and not prepared to buy a Gigabyte board, as to me they are the amstrad of motherboards...
i would say the complete oposite to what you have just said who was the first to make the best overclocking P965 board ? gigabyte, all my boards have been top notch would buy another in a heart beat.

LOL.

The DS3 and DS3P are two of the best motherboards currently available.

No offence to Foxconn but i'd take Gigabyte over them in a heartbeat. :)

Okay guys.

I'll see your F-I90HD, i'll see your DS2R, and i'll raise you one P5K-VM.

FIVE HUNDRED!!!

And it's got a 1:1 memory divider, unlike the Gigabyte.

I've also seen this board in stock at a UK retailer, so why hasn't anybody brought this one up before?
