A non violent alternative to CS

Hi all,

I've been asked at work to setup a LAN party with 10 new notebooks to show off the machines with new graphics cards, and I'm looking for suggestions for an alternative to CS:GO which would be less violent. The quick games, and team play is great.

If there was a paintball mod for example, where people would put their hands up when they were shot rather than fall to the ground, that could be great.

Any thoughts on a team game that may work in a corporate environment for an afternoon? Something that can be easy to pick up.

I'll also find a fun driving game that people can play.

Cheers

Overwatch is possibly more "friendly" in that respect.

Cheap LAN Games for £5 or less

* Golf With Your Friends - Absolutely recommend this, I only play this with the same group of friends and I've got 31 hours game time.

* Shellshock Live - Think Worms but with Tanks.

* DIRT 3 - Good multiplayer game with plenty of different modes. It was free recently and you can grab a CD Key for a few quid now.

I remember seeing such a game on Steam quite recently. It is aimed at kids, of course. And of course I cannot remember the name.

Rocket League is a great idea. Easy to pick up, teams of four.

Any alternatives to Plants vs Zombies 2? My seven year old son plays that one, so I do know it.

Am I completely imagining that Counter Strike had a 'non blood' option which meant that people bled flowers? Is that even a thing? Different game?

I work for HP in France, and we want to show off the new machines to the site. So it's anybody and everybody, but not generally people that game.

I'm thinking Rocket League, with teams of four, and then one machine with Dirt Rally.

I'm also thinking Star Wars Battlefront may be an option. It's sci-fi. I think we can't play that on a LAN, but can we setup a private server?

So HP are going to buy 10 copies of a game for a demonstration of the laptops? I clearly need to stop buying HP stuff, they have too much spare money ! lol

If they truly want to show off the new graphics cards within the laptops then its probably an idea to get something thats graphics intensive. Showing something with 5 year old graphics isnt all that impressive, so maybe Battlefront is an option, its a dump game for most gamers but it looks pretty.

Star Wars Battlefront would look great actually.. i know there was talk of an update that would allow private matches, but as far as i know Battlefront still works on matchmaking.. meaning you would be playing with others on the internet.
