I've seen so many really nice desktops made with samurize and i want to be able to do this myself. I tried it once before but didnt get far. Is there some kinda noobs guide or a thread that someone can point me too please?

The way I learnt, was to download an excisting config file, or use one of the default ones, then reverse engineer it and modify it.

Don't mean to hijack your thread, but on a similar note.. Does anyone have any problems with inputs, ie, button clicks etc with Samurize, as I can't seem to get them to work at all :(

yeah i will give that a go.

The main thing i want is to display hardware info and temps on the desktop but i understand this need mbm5 to work? Problem is i dont think mbm supports my mobo :(

EDIT: actually just having looked it seems to work with speedfan :)

I reckon i'll fathom it out but any help regarding harware monitoring using samurize would be appreciated anyways.

Im at work at the moment, so I don't have Samurize here, but I can help you more once I go home. As you've already figured out, you need MBM or speedfan to get the temperature readout AFAIK. Most of the hardware information can be gained from the meters built into Samurize. For some of the more complex stuff, you're most likely going to need plugins from the samurize site, but just use the basic stuff to get started.

I just got hold of some simple configs and played around with them, now got a nice simple one that I like. I don't really need it to give me the weather or TV channels, just show me HDD space, RAM usage etc :)

ace little program!
