After reaching for 4.5GHz earlier today I got 4.32 to boot into Windows, but Prime caused BSOD. I was already at 1.425 vcore so was reluctant to push it any further. Having read this explaining what "clock skew" is (hadn't encountered it before) I decided to try some recommended settings I found on the [H], 150ps on the CPU and 250 on the NB. To my surprise it actually passed a few prime tests this time, whereas before it would just BSOD immediately.
So if you're new to overclocking or have just ignored this setting before now, it might make the difference for a successful benchmark run on that OC you could never quite get stable.
It's not a magic bullet but more of a last resort when the volts have run out.
