Hi guys,

need a bit of advice. I have been tasked at work with finding a specific style of image, well more so the content. now i would just use google image search. However, theres a rather high chance these images will actually be used for something and as such licences and royalties etc all need to be above board so no one gets unduly stolen from.

so the question is. besides getty and corbis. can any one think of other places where i can find images that if need be can get in contact with the original owner. the only other place i can really think of is flickr, and with that use compfight to search through them ?

any ideas would be great.

cheers :)

Why not just try any one of the various photo agencies that pop up when you run a search for them?

Thats the point in an agency, to represent the Photographer and sell the photos. So not sure why you specifically need to be able to talk to the Photographer unless you are intending to commission them to do something? Or is it because you want to seek out the owner so you can ask permission to use it free of charge?

no, not trying to scab it for free. its most likely going to end up being used for an advertising campaign. ive had a look through the agencies. the thing is the photos in question aren't going to be the run of the mill photos. its going to be more like some ones just snapped it with their phone than with a tripod if you catch my drift
