Yes, that's right - it's a thread about the BBC daytime quiz show hosted by Alexander Armstrong. What else could it have been?

Am I alone in being strangely drawn to this?

I discovered Pointless Series 1 on iPlayer last year, and Series 2 is currently being broadcast - the latest five shows are still on iPlayer:

Even though they've changed the format slightly this time around, it's even more enjoyable. Alexander Armstrong has relaxed into the role of host, and as a result both he and questionmaster Richard Osman make for a great double act, with a nice line in dry sarcastic humour.

And of course, it's one of those games that you can play along, especially if you're a bit of a trivia buff or like pub quizzes.

So: any other Pointless fans in here, or am I a pointless answer? :D

Aye, the concept's like a reverse Family Fortunes - 100 people are asked a question before the show, the contestants have to guess the lowest correct answers, ideally ones that none of the 100 people gave - but the show itself I'm finding consistently entertaining.

Don't get me wrong - it's not groundbreaking, edgy or festooned with boobies or anything. It's just fun to watch and play along.

Today's was probably the most amusing; at times verging on the surreal:

Alexander to contestant: "So, are you an experimental cheese monkey?"

Best remark from Richard: "And the worst possible answer you could have given, as is so often the case, was 'Noel Edmonds'".

Looks like I'm the only fan here, though  I'll shut up about it now :p
