I have recently built a new pc. Got windows 64 bit edition. Pc was fine but then avast anti virus started playing up saying it was out of date through my security centre and then my easy tune pro 5 wouldnt load. It displays the error message cannot load GPCIDrv driver. I have tried uninstalling it etc. No joy.

Firstly my windows xp pro x64 was perfect. And I think that even my easy tune pro 5 was working. I just woke up one morning and the anti virus went funny and wouldnt update and easy tune wouldnt load. Also it just seemed as if it wasnt quite as slick as the before, it was a bit glitchy like.

Well because my easy tune pro 5 wasnt working I stared installing other hardware monitoring programs off the internet such as speed fan and Hmonitor. For some reason these programs report a very high temprature on one of its sensor attributes. It is classed as temp 3 and I have tracked it down to being the superIO chip on the ISA bus. This chip is running at between 78-80 degrees. It actually displays a fire icon by the side of it.

My Pc reports normal tempratures on my bios for cpu and general incase temps. My gpus are fine. The PC boots fine and runs sweet! Although I think it may be a tiny tiny bit more glitchy than when I first installed windows 64. This is the second install of it because I wiped it and started again.

I suppose I want to knw why the super IO chip is running at that temp and is it dangerous? Is that normal! Also my my PC beeps once in the beggining , then a few seconds later beeps again but its not as loud and then beeps again the same a few seconds after that. It doesnt seem like an error message because I dont think there is usually that much space between beeps on any BIOS. It seems as if it has a good power on beep, then does the same thing again twice dew to a different component or something in the pc.

There is one thing I am not sure about once I have been building this PC however and that is the case fan that I have plugged into my motherboard. Its plugged into the powerfan header (12v) and runs at around 2500rpm. Is that normal. Also I have noticed on the bios that the sensing of that fan is intermittant for some reason. It there one minute and not there the next.

I dont know the voltage of the fan see. Ill have to take it all apart again ( grumps) Also I took the powerfan out and then the board wouldnt boot properly with just the cpu fan. It just made a constant loud buzzing noise for some reason. But was ok once I plugged the powerfan back into it!!!???

I have bought the phenom bundle on overclockers I have like. the 1.8ghz quad core bundle, gigabyte board. Ill post the full specs next know!
