That's a pretty harsh week, anyone got any predictions for the scorelines/tactics?

Not that bad. 2 of the games are at home... Bayern Munich's next 2 weeks is what I would called brutal...

Sat. 27 14:30 UK Bayern Munich v VfB Stuttgart
Tue. 30 19:45 UK Bayern Munich v Manchester United
Sat. 3 14:30 UK Schalke 04 v Bayern Munich
Wed. 7 19:45 UK Manchester United v Bayern Munich
Sat. 10 17:30 UK Bayer Leverkusen v Bayern Munich

League Table:
1 Bayern Munich 27 10 4 0 28 10 6 4 3 26 14 30 56
2 Schalke 04 27 10 2 2 25 10 6 5 2 19 12 22 55
3 Bayer Leverkusen 27 10 3 0 32 10 4 8 2 24 18 28 53

We are away to Bayern but then have 3 full days to recover from that game before Chelsea and then another 4 days before our home tie against Bayern not too brutal really. I think Fergie may rest a couple of players against Bolton, possibly Fletcher and maybe Rooney.

i dont understand why people go on about players getting tired. you do know that some people swim everyday, go running everyday, play football everyday, etc. they have adequate rest, 3 or 4 days between games with possibly 1 or 2 training sessions in between which means they should have a day either side of full rest, so long as the players are eating and sleeping right then they should never get tired. my uncle is mid 40's and usually plays 4 times a week, of which 2 of the games are in 2 different 5 a side leagues, 1 of which his team are current champions. these games although only last 30 minutes, they are constant action unlike 11 a side. on top of that he weight trains nearly every day and goes for a run every morning at 5.30 am. on top of all this he has his own business's and a life. so i dont like the excuses fans use when they say their team is tired.

Thing is, it's all relative though. Undoubtedly its a tough week 'On Paper' but I'm sure both Chelsea and Bayern are thinking that one of the last team they would want to face right now is Utd as well. If you want to be the best you got to beat all the good teams.

Predictions for me

Bayern 2 - 1 Utd

Utd 1 - 1 Chelsea

Utd 2 - 0 Bayern

Bayerns week is a lot worse now!

They've been done over by Stuttgart at home, they are away at (new) league leaders Schalke and 3rd place Leverkusen either side of playing Utd...

Utd's job should be even easier against Bayern if Robben doesnt play;)...hasnt trained due to a strained calf or something.

Can only hope Bayern pull off a victory as unlikely as it will be,

I love this sort of thing. This could ruin our whole season if we **** up all 3 games but at the same time it could be amazing. As mentioned, you have to beat the best to be considered the best.

I dont adhere to the idea that the path of least resistance is the best one in football competitions. You want to see your side topple giants not crush minnows.

We shall be fine. Utd have a decent depth squad, and Rooney is still on fire. I predict a draw against Bayern, then a win against Chelsea then the win against Bayern. Simples!

4 - 5 - 1 tomorrow night against Bayern

VDS

Neville (possibly Fabio/Rafael) Rio Vidic Evra

Valencia Fletcher Carrick Scholes Park

Rooney

(Im torn at right back only because I think SAF will want experience in that position for the two latter games, and with the run of games GN has done recently he may well be rested tomorrow night, baring in mind his age /recuperation time)
