when i go into devices and my pc theres a problem with the HD audio device.
Under device status, this device cannot start (code 10).
I have reinstalled it twice but no luck.
Any ideas?
Thanks

windows 7 64 bit
its the realtek hd audio driver
mobo is asus maximus IV extreme-z, installed the drivers of the mobo disk.
Never worked before, i have mircosoft security essentials installed.
windows couldnt fix it through device manager troubleshooting

If you tell device manager to show hidden devices there should be an MS HD Audio device that needs removing, once you've done that you should be able to install the Realtek drivers properly.

hold on theres the nvidia ones the realtek one and the hd audio device.
The hd audio device has the problem disable that on or delete it?

If it is showing as a MS or Microsoft HD audio device and has an issue then that is the one that needs deleting.

Post a screengrab of the device manager and I'll be able to tell you.
