Hello,

I just got my Macbook it is one of the new ones with lepoard installed. The thing is I can not connect to any wireless networks as there is no wireless option in the network settings window the only options in the window are...

Ethernet
Bluetooth
FireWire

Can someone please help me get my wireless working I would ring up Apple but I am sure that their phone lines would be closed as it is Christmas. Sorry if I have not explained the problem very clearly also this is the first Mac I have had so I am not an experienced user with OSX.

Thanks and Merry Christmas :).

To rule out a hardware problem you could try the Apple Hardware Test

If it looks ok hardware wise then go into system profiler and look under the network section, does it say you have an airport card installed? It could be that OS X is just not recognising it.

Finally you could try reinstalling OS X and see if it picks it up again.

I have tried the Hardware test as you recomended and it says there is nothing wrong, I will reinstall Leopard and see if it works then.
