anybody know if there is a program like CPUz for processors, but for graphics cards?

basically there is a machine in work thats about 3 or 4 years (ish) old now and the graphics card drivers have got lost somehow and nobody knows what the card is inside.

can't check through device manager as it just comes under unknown device etc...

if theres a program out there that will give a decent amount of info about the graphics card, that would be great help :)

only program i managed to try on it today was SiS-Sandra but it didn't work.

If you're able to take a picture of the card you could host the image and post it here. It would be easier to identify the card that way.

shall give it a try in work tomorrow and post back to let you guys know.

keep the ideas/programs coming please, just incase this one doesn't work.

Could try Start, Run..., "dxdiag" and then hit the video tab, but it might not work considering that it shows as an unknown device. Worth a try though.

Aida32 might also be worth a shot if none of the other suggestions work, you could even take the card out as normally there will be some identifying features about the chipset unless it has a heatsink over the GPU.

I have everest and does not support my 7800GS+, says 7800GS and no info about the GPU,maybe the full edition is updated but the best is Rivatuner.
Now Rivatuner supports the lastest cards.
Also supports the HSI chips(PCI X to AGP).
I found out "0290 hardwired to HSI" (when 0290 is a 7900GTX).
Also has pipelines edition and others features.

I dont think that is going to trouble him considering the system he is working on is so old.

everest says its an SiS 330, but i can't find any drivers for it anywhere

any help
i've found one so far actually, but it didn't work... :-/

use aida to find out what the motherboard chipset is, then go to sis website and download the matching graphics driver for that model number

ie if its a sis 650 motherboard chipset, get the 650 graphics driver

I've had a few of these cards come into the office this week, all the programs are wrong with the sis on-board graphics

cheers guys, all sorted now :)

we ended up downloading about 6 different drivers for SiS 330 and Xabre graphics cards... one worked in the end :o

dxdiag.exe and device manager etc...etc...etc... are now all reporting the card correctly.

at least the girl in work is no longer stuck at 800*600 on a 19" monitor anymore
