A PS3 Without Any Games

Don't start this. It's boring when other people do it and I don't expect to hear it from you of all people.

Aha!

And its boring when people say it about the PS3 mate, that is why I said it...

I'm sorry but the PS3 has a great catalogue of games now which is only going to get better and better.

Why is it ok to say this about the PS3 on here, but not about the 360?

It's not. It's a completely valid point between PS3 and Xbox360.
PS3's best games are all cross-platform, all of which are better on Xbox360 (bar DiRT, but that sucks). The PS3 has one good exclusive game in Uncharted.

Saying PC and PS3 is completely null and void as the Xbox360 holds its own with Mass Effect, PGR3, PGR4, Kameo, Dead Rising, Burnout Revenge, Guitar Hero 2, Hitman:Blood Money, Dead or Alive 4, Viva Pinata, Saints Row, Forza Motorsport 2.

None of which I believe are on the PC or PS3 and all of which are very good games. Those are just off the top of my head.
The PS3 has... Uncharted.

That's why it's okay to say it about the PS3, not the Xbox360. It's an argument that keeps coming up, continues to be flawed and wreaks of desperation to defend the PS3 at any length.

On top of that the PC has recieved games such as Lost Planet, Test Drive Unlimited and Gears of War later than the Xbox360.

Not only that, but the PC has never been a competitor for consoles as they are different, always have been, never have they been compared for exclusives (even in the past when games have appeared on the PC that were on console and still called 'exclusive') but suddenly with the Xbox360 it's okay to class it as a competitor.
The industry don't even class the PC as a console competitor, nor even do these forums by keeping the sections seperately, but again, it backs up the extremely flawed argument.

That's why I expect better from you. You're normally a very good and fair poster, but you're lowering yourself by using that 'argument'. Sorry.

Are you forgetting Resistance, Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden, F1, Heavenly Sword, GT5 prologue amoungst others im forgetting???? And the fact that 360 has been out over a year longer?? His post seemed valid enough to me!

Nope. I'm including them.
Resistance and Motorstorm are average, the former more so, the latter lacking variation and depth.
Ninja Gaiden is a remake of a game over 5 years old on the Xbox.
Formula 1 is okay, but it should have been better. It's not as good as many other F1 games in the past.
Heavenly Sword was just poor, a poor God of War and it was too short.
GT5 prologue is okay, but it's not a full game and it shows.

So no. Not forgetting them, I'm including them. They just, for me, don't make the grade.
GT5 Prologue would have if it was more of a game than a glorified demo.

He speaks the truth though unless you have your head in the sand waiting for things to improve. I realistically cannot see myself buying a PS3 anytime soon until some some original and different games turn up on the PS3. When you compare the current lineup after a year or so it really is a joke when you consder how big Sony are, it's like they aren't even trying. It's as if there is no direction and they are just reacting to everyone else, the changes in the controller are one example of this. It just makes me wonder whether they got lucky with the first 2 PS's as what should be the latest and best is still trying to find it's niche against the 2 other competitors. It just isn't different enough from the 360 and certainly doesn't have the same number of original stand out titles that were two a penny on the PS2. I'm not saying that MS are not making mistakes this generation but it makes them look like geniuses in comparison to sony. I know plenty of people who have blindly bought PS3's this xmas but they really are going to tire of it if the waiting for games situation hasn't improved by spring.

Laugh all you want. I own/owned/rented all of the ones you named. So I think puts me in a perfect position to comment. Atleast I don't just base myself around one console, eh?

You do! Your negativity is based around one console and it definitely aint the 360!

This is old news now really, there is a pretty sweet line up of games avaliable now and the near future release lineup is amazing! MGS,GT5, FF etc!

I don't think that's the case. Certainly not the first one where they were MASSIVE underdogs. The second one was a little easier with SEGA being skint and Microsoft entering late as big underdogs, but still, it was a great console and having it as a DVD player worked wonders.

All 3 consoles are great consoles, for me the PS3 is the best of the lot. It does lots of things brilliantly and if you don't have an Xbox360 then it's a brilliant console.

Not at all. I'm very positive about the PS3 console, always have been. What I have been negative about is the lack of quality in the exclusives and where they are coming from. The PS3 is my favourite of the consoles for what it offers, but it has some problems with it's OS (or more with what it doesn't offer such as messaging, unified friends lists etc...)

I'm negative about the failures of Xbox360's and that it's noisier than the PS3. but other than that, there isn't a whole lot to be negative about.
I don't like the games available on the Wii, but there is some undoubted quality in there with Zelda, Mario, Metroid, Rayman, Resident Evil and a couple of others, but I'm not too keen on the controls.

My negativity isn't all around one console at all. It's aimed at average and poor games in comparison to good games.
