Say I was to buy a PS3 tomorrow without any games. What would I be able to do with it out of the box and on the internet.

Is there enough on the Playstation Network to keep a gamer busy until the better PS3 titles arrive.

Make an account for the UK,USA & JPN networks & sign up to entropay(so you can buy things off the USA network)

There are plenty of games on there to buy such as warhawk, pain & lots of ps1 classics. I wouldn't say it's enough till 'the better games' come out though

PS3 demo's, PSN games (you could easily put many hours into Super Stardust alone), PS1/PSP games (nothing that's absolutely essential yet though), trailers etc. And of course it's a decent Blu Ray player as well if that interests you.

Plenty of content to have a mess around with, but probably best to have a proper game in mind that you want that's not too far off. Uncharted for one is excellent

As for PS3 specific demo's, Uncharted, Ratchet, F1. Think there's also a Resistance demo and Motorstorm demo. All worth a go.

I don't want to thread hijack, but it's relevant! Just the one post of info and then I'll go away. Promise.

How do you connect the PS3 to the internet? Is it wireless, and are demos free?

EDIT: Answered. I'll go away!

Ideally I would like a hands on experience with one before I even considered getting on. None of the titles that are out at the minute have any interest for me. Except Uncharted, but I don't want to get a PS3 with just 1 game.

Gran Turismo 5 will be a selling point for me as i'm a huge GT fan.

Burnout demo is fantastic fun on the PS3, and free!

Drive up to donny and you can have a go on mine :p

I just want to try the whole PS3 experience, by spending a minimal amount of money. There are games that are due out next year that will interest me.

I want to test out the Playstation Network and what it has to offer. Also I want to get my hands on Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

The experience is the games. That's the entire point. It is a games console. A few demos are not going to entertain you for more than a week. A PS3 without games is like a PC without the internet. Pointless.

I hated Warhawk, for me it's not even as good as Battlefield 2: Modern Combat on the Xbox360 and that's not a great game. Overhyped, under-delivering rubbish.

However, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune is a thoroughly enjoyable film.

There isn't enough on the PSN, in fact, for 9 months in what's on offer is criminal, which is a shame. You'd need a game or two, so Uncharted for full retail and Motorstorm on the cheap would be my recommendation.
