Hi,

I'm looking at rearranging my rad box with a new radiator which means moving fans about. I'm just wondering whether piggy backing fans on eachother increases their airflow or not?

Eg. If i had 2 120mm fans on each of the two vents of the box with cool air being drawn in to the boxes 120.3 rad??

Anyone know anything about piggy backing fans? Pros (if any) and cons (apart from noise obviously)

Cheers

If you mean two back to back it doesn't work. IIRC the only chance of getting any better results with two fans back to back is to have them rotating in opposite directions but comparable in terms of cfm and rpm etc. It's unlikely and not worth it :)

If you mean one pushing and one pulling that might work out. As you say though, noise.

Yeah, i did kinda think it would just continue to push the air at the same speed. Gonna have to figure somewhere else to put another vent!

Cheers
